My Khe Beach stretches for several kilometres south from the foot of the Son Tra Peninsula. In 2005 Forbes magazine included My Khe among the most attractive beaches on the planet. Its special appeal is that it is right in the city: a few minutes' walk from your hotel and you're on the sand.
Why swim at My Khe?

My Khe tips
- Best times: 5–8am and after 4pm; avoid the midday sun.
- Best season: roughly April to August, when the sea is calmest and clearest.
- Only swim in flagged areas with lifeguards; never when red flags fly, waves are big or after drinking.
- Eat seafood along Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa and in the Man Thai area – ask the price per kg.
A morning swim at My Khe followed by the Son Tra – Marble Mountains – Hoi An tour makes a perfect day. In summer, for even bluer water, try the Cham Islands.
